Occasionally, there may be a need for some work to be performed outside of standard Sydney business hours.About youYour experience and skillsMinimum 5-6 years experience in financial services industry, in a Strategic Sourcing and Relationship Management function or similarStrong, commercially based relationship management experience with vendors/suppliers, in particular large category spend including IT and back office functionsStrong relationship management, negotiation, influencing, communication and incident management skillsExperience operating within regulated environmentsTechnical CompetenceRelevant tertiary qualifications supplemented by further qualifications is desirableExperienced understanding of Vendor RelationshipsCommercially focused, pragmatic, proactive and results-driven individualAble to work independently with good time management and organisational capabilityProficient in the use of all Microsoft desktop applications, Word, Excel, PowerPointFamiliar with database technologies, usage and schemasThe responsibilities of this role which will report to the Head of Corporate Operations will include, but are not limited to:Oversight of existing and future vendor arrangements, including administration of vendor agreements within the Contract Management System databaseIdentify and document improvement to processes and assess organisational capability to execute vendor contracts, performance and relationship managementIdentify and document any improvements to the process to evaluate the performance of all suppliers in line with business and regulatory requirementsImplement the Strategic Sourcing and Relationship Management Policy and ProceduresSupport the negotiation and execution of commercial engagements, facilitating beneficial supplier objectivesManage aspects of strategic relationships with vendors and service providersAlign Sourcing Strategies to FSI objectives and ensure a manageable pipeline of work meets the expectations of the businessIdentify opportunities to improve business processes and efficiencies to manage vendor costsStrong communication and customer service skills, to negotiate with, and influence internal and external stakeholdersEnsure that ongoing oversight activities occur in a timely and compliant mannerPreparation of reporting for senior managementEnsure annual due diligence requirements are embedded within process and are carried outConduct training sessions for staff on departmental policies and proceduresAbout usFirst Sentier Investors is a global asset management group providing high quality, differentiated and relevant investment capabilities aiming to deliver exceptional investment performance for our clients and profitable growth for our shareholder.We do this through our independent teams of active, specialist investors who share a common commitment to responsible investment principles.
