Job Description

The Department of Health is seeking a highly skilled Senior Change Manager to support transformational workforce reform, with a key focus on contemporising rostering practices across the Agency.This is an opportunity to leverage your change management expertise and leadership skills to support a strategic project. The program aims to improve rostering practices through:Process harmonisation and standardisation for consistent and contemporary rostering practices.Adoption of digital solutions to support automation, frontline teams, and HRIS implementation.We seek someone who thrives on complexity and can guide people through change.The Role:You will lead change management initiatives to transform rostering and workforce practices, working closely with the Program Director to develop and execute strategies that support the rollout of these practices across the Agency. Your work will directly impact frontline teams and drive organizational improvement.In this role, you will:Develop and implement change strategies for improved rostering systems and practices.Create a tailored change management framework, including stakeholder analysis, impact assessments, and communication plans.Provide guidance on training and capability-building for adoption and sustainability.Coach senior leaders and stakeholders to embed changes effectively across the organization.This is a significant change journey for the Department, requiring leadership to support staff through the transition to contemporary rostering practices, including system upgrades and sustainable change initiatives.Bring your skills and experience as a Senior Change Manager to make a meaningful impact on Tasmanias health sector.Essential criteria include:Current Working with Children RegistrationDesirable qualifications:Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Business, Change Management, or related fields.A current drivers license.Appointment DetailsFixed-term full-time position, 76 hours per fortnight, starting as soon as possible for two years. Hours are negotiable.
