Its our mission to re-define repair.The OpportunityWe have an exciting opportunity for a Vehicle Buyer & Warranty Consultant to join our team and play a vital role across two key operational areas vehicle procurement and warranty support.In this unique position, youll be responsible for sourcing vehicles from auctions and other suppliers nationwide to meet the dismantling needs of our National operations. At the same time, you''ll support our customers by managing warranty claims and providing over-the-phone assistance to troubleshoot faulty productsRole responsibilitiesReview and assess online auction listings to determine vehicle suitability for dismantlingEnsure purchasing transparency by completing a Bid Buddy valuation for every vehicle acquiredOptimise part selection using available data at the point of valuationAchieve gross margin targets through strategic vehicle and part selection, aligned with guidance from the Reclaimed Operations ManagerMaintain accurate records and supporting documentation to enable timely capture and processing of acquired vehicles into ACM Parts systemsPrepare daily, weekly and ad hoc reportsIdentify and communicate opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and customer outcomesWarrantyAssist customers with troubleshooting and diagnosing issues related to faulty productsProvide clear, step-by-step solutions over the phone to help resolve product concernsApply sound judgment when assessing faulty products and determining appropriate outcomesProcess all warranty paperwork accurately to ensure proper documentation and complianceUse manufacturer parts catalogues to verify compatibility and determine product interchangeabilityManage labour spend and credit return budgets effectivelyEnsure all actions are in line with relevant consumer law obligations whilst protecting the companys commercial positionWorkplace Health & SafetyResponsible for your own safety and the safety of othersBehave in a way that ensures your own safety and the safety of othersFollow all safety policies and requirementsPromote safety and safety policies at all timesAttend fit for work and not under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other substancesMaintain an understanding of and act in accordance with WHS Policies, procedures and responsibilitiesMaintain an understanding of the hazards and risks associated with our operationsIdentify and report hazards and GLEs in a timely mannerExperience & SkillsSound knowledge of the mechanical and automotive repair industryStrong mechanical background with diagnostic capability across a variety of makes and modelsAbility to troubleshoot product faults and provide step-by-step solutions over the phoneExperience using Pinnacle and Bid Buddy systems highly regardedSkilled in interpreting manufacturer parts catalogues and determining interchangeabilityExcellent problem-solving, negotiating, decision-making, and conflict management skillsHigh attention to process compliance and adherence to business rulesWell-developed organisational, interpersonal, and communication skillsExcellent numeracy and reporting capabilitiesProficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and general computer systemsBenefitsCompetitive Salary and CommsGreat working environment and peopleGreat work/life balanceDiscounts on parts and toolsUniforms24/7 professional support for Team members and their immediate familiesWe champion our Team, because its our people that set us apart and drive our business'' success.
