For more information, visit www.canadiansolar.com and www.csestorage.com.Position Title:(Sr.) Applications EngineerDepartment:EngineeringEntity:CS e-STORAGEReports To:Director of Applications Engineering, APACLocation:Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, or PhilippinesPosition SummaryThe Applications Engineer provides technical support for Canadian Solars energy storage solutions, focusing on system sizing, preliminary design, and value engineering of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The role involves developing proposals, working closely with sales and engineering teams, and delivering technical presentations. A senior-level candidate with relevant experience may be considered for a higher position.Responsibilities:Serve as a technical liaison for sales teams, providing expertise on product specifications and value engineering.Analyze RFPs and customer documentation to determine project scope, schedule, and technical requirements.Develop system size models and conceptual drawings, including electrical diagrams and site layouts.Prepare technical proposals and coordinate bid package development with other departments.Collaborate with sales, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure project understanding and priorities.Conduct technical presentations and clarify technical details to customers and internal teams.Manage technical exhibits for supply and commissioning contracts.Assess integration requirements of new BESS projects into existing PV systems.Qualifications and Skills:Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.Experience with battery energy storage systems, utility-scale solar, or renewable power solutions, preferably as an applications engineer.Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software.Strong technical aptitude, including understanding of engineering schematics and technical reports.Knowledge of UL standards related to energy storage and grid-inverters.Global perspective and experience working across cultures is beneficial.Excellent time management skills, capable of handling multiple projects and priorities concurrently. #J-18808-Ljbffr
