About The OpportunityAt PMHC every employee plays a part in ensuring we work together to achieve positive outcomes for our Community. To help us achieve this we are looking for a Recreation Project Officer who has construction and project delivery experience. You must be a creative thinker, be able to work on your own, bring initiative and problem solving to the team, as well as being able to engage with our community. In this role you will be creating great places and spaces including playgrounds, sports complexes, buildings, landscapes and more every day.On a Typical Day This Role WillPrepare Project PlansManage multiple construction projects at any one timePrepare approval documentationManage Project Budgets and TimelinesLiaise with community on key projectsYou Will NeedRelevant qualifications in Project Management, Landscape Construction or a related discipline, or significant experience deemed equivalent.Demonstrated recent experience in the supervision/project management of construction works.Proven background and skills in successful resource estimation and the supervision of contractors.Well developed written, oral and electronic communication skillsWell developed time management and organisational skills.Working knowledge of obligations under the Work Health & Safety Act both as an employee and supervisor of contractors.Demonstrated computer literacy with sound experience in relevant software packages.Remuneration And BenefitsEmployment Type: Full time, Permanent 35 hours per weekSalary (exclusive of super): Starting in the range of $84,727 to $94,836 depending on skills and experienceBenefitsFlexible work arrangements - hybrid working and flexi-timeDiscounted gym membership through membership to Fitness PassportCareer development opportunitiesAnnual salary increase as per the Local Government (State) Award 2023 plus annual salary reviewLong service leave after 5 yearsGenerous employee assistance programSalary packaging options available through Salary Packaging Australia and MaxxiaRecognition through our annual awards ceremony celebrating and rewarding staff achievementsThe Liveable Communities TeamThe Liveable Communities Team is about connecting with the community including all residents and visitors to ensure that the Port Macquarie Hastings region is an inclusive and vibrant place for everyone.
