Direct message the job poster from Lion Selection GroupInvestor Relations Manager and Company Secretary at Lion Selection Group LimitedAbout LionLion is an ASX listed, specialist mining investment company providing a patient, portfolio-oriented approach to investment in the high growth early stage mining development space where specialist knowledge is essential.Lions investment focus is micro capitalisation resources companies, a sector which has the potential to be one of the best performing in the market, where individual companies can generate high multiple returns.Lions investment research is 100% internally derived by a directly employed, full-time professional mining investment team and we are seeking a curious and independent thinker to join us as Research Analyst.Profile a little bit about youThe successful candidate will be:Interested in investing and mineral economics, markets and business growth strategies.Ready and keen to move to a Melbourne based role that offers the opportunity to travel.Highly self-motivated and detail-oriented with the ability to learn quickly and take initiative.Able to work collectively and collaboratively in a small team and willing to assist with tasks outside of the typical job description when necessary.Just as comfortable in business attire as high visibility clothing, reflecting the necessity to work in both environments from time to time.Able to draw on their network of relationships in the Australian mining industry to complement the research and assessment aspect of the role.For an individual demonstrating these attributes, this role offers a strong career development path as a core team member in a dynamic specialist investment company.Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:Investment opportunity assessment and research, and compilation of due diligence material for investment opportunities.Maintenance of opportunities database and watchlist.Maintaining peer assessment of portfolio companies and new opportunities as well as general monitoring of the resource micro-cap investment sector.Monitoring investee company activities.Assessment of mining industry and investment market trends, both qualitatively and quantitatively.Assisting with investor relations material including presentations and quarterly reports.Washing your own coffee cup.Qualifications, Skills and ExperienceTertiary qualifications in geology, mining engineering (or equivalent) or process engineering / metallurgy.5 years'' + direct mining industry experience.Strong investigative, analytical, software, and system skills, including Excel, PowerPoint.Ability to adhere to reporting deadlines.Understanding, and experience of, safety standards and practices in the mining industry.High regard may be given to:Demonstrated completion of research-based projects (ideally during employment).Experience working on project assessment or development.Finance experience or education undertaken or underway.To applyPlease click on the "Apply" button above.Applications close on28/06/2025.
