One of Melbournes most iconic CBD arcades is transforming, with the redevelopment of "Melbourne Walk" Arcade set to open in 2025, marking IHG''s first dual-branded hotel project in Australia.Guests can expect local character, modern design, and warm, professional service with a vibrant, individual flavor at Hotel Indigo, bringing the edgy laneway neighborhood of Little Collins Street to life. Holiday Inn will provide a modern, friendly stay for a wide variety of guests, capitalizing on the convenience and value associated with the brand and the Bourke Street Mall area.As Assistant Night Manager, youll oversee hotel operations during overnight hours in the absence of the Night Manager, ensuring safety, security, and smooth operation. Youll manage guest experiences, supervise team performance, and ensure the timely completion of the night audit. With a calm and confident demeanor, youll lead by example, handle issues professionally, and support overnight colleagues through hands-on leadership and coaching to foster growth, engagement, and a positive work environment.A little taste of your day-to-dayAssist in creating and implementing SOPs for the front office, specifically for the Night Audit function and overnight duties.Ensure the front office team delivers excellent service, professionalism, and personal recognition.Greet guests upon arrival, engage with them, respond to complaints, solicit feedback, and build relationships to improve guest satisfaction.Conduct routine inspections of hotel grounds and address deficiencies promptly.Support other departments as needed to promote a seamless guest experience.Ensure colleagues are trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively.Assist management with induction, onboarding, training, and development of staff as part of the Performance Management Cycle.Manage all hotel operations on shift in lieu of the Night Manager.Oversee night audit and prepare daily financial reports, working closely with the finance team to ensure accuracy.Respond appropriately to emergency situations as the first responder.What we need from youAt least three years of guest service/hotel experience, including one year in a management role.Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities.Strong problem-solving skills to turn issues into opportunities and enhance guest experiences.Current Responsible Service of Alcohol, First Aid, and CPR certifications, with renewal compliance.Availability to work shifts from 11 pm to 7 am.Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.Full working rights in Australia without restrictions.What you can expect from usEnjoy a unique, career-defining opportunity with a competitive salary, benefits including room discounts, and comprehensive training.
