Randstad recruitment has partnered with the Department of State Development, Infrastructure and Planning to recruit a Project Manager A08 based in Mount Isa, Queensland. This role is residential only, with assistance with relocation on offer.It is a flexible, full-time, non-permanent contract role, including superannuation and leave loading.The State Development regional teams across Queensland coordinate initiatives such as departmental programs and workshops to link industry and regional businesses, aiming to grow regional supply chains and productivity.Your TeamJoin a team that makes a difference by leading industry development and regional programs aligned with the Department''s strategic plan. Initiatives focus on enhancing the international competitiveness of Queenslands defence, aerospace, space, super yachts, hydrogen, bio futures, biomedical, mining equipment, technology and services, and resource recovery industries.Your ResponsibilitiesDevelop regional project plans and proposals aligned with identified opportunities and strategies in consultation with regional stakeholders.Implement, monitor, and report on activities within the EDS, RTS, and structural adjustment programs.Lead complex procurement matters.Prepare high-quality reports, submissions, briefing notes, commentary, policies, presentations, documents, publications, and correspondence.Represent government policy in external forums.Assist industry and facilitate their interaction with other agencies and levels of government.Manage stakeholder relationships and client engagement, especially with industry, to identify and address emerging issues and opportunities, including managing competing priorities.Foster a culture of teamwork, performance, client service, continuous improvement, and innovation to deliver high-quality services.About YouA tertiary qualification in economics, statistics, or a relevant discipline, plus at least four years of experience in an economic and business development environment, with a proven track record in delivering projects that produce quantifiable economic outcomes.High-level interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively connect with and gain cooperation from key decision-makers in government and business.Interested?At Randstad, we are passionate about equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity.
