Salvos services go beyond addressing the core issues and challenges associated with problematic substance abuse and provide participants a place of hope, compassion, and dignity to recover safely.About the role:To provide leadership of the nursing team and specialised withdrawal management nursing services, clinical assessments, mental and physical health care, referral for medical assistance as required to people undergoing AOD withdrawal management, within a safe and culturally appropriate manner which meets the immediate physical, mental and emotional needs in line with TSA values.How you will make an impact:Provide leadership, guidance, and professional role modelling to a team of Registered and Enrolled Nurses.Contribute to decision-making panels regarding AOD assessments and admissions to withdrawal management unit.Be a part of the TRS Leadership Team and contribute to leadership goals, AOD State Agenda and work within guidelines and manuals.Manage a withdrawal management unit including overseeing admission processes, psychosocial education sessions, nursing care, partnering with the contracted General Practitioner and medication management.Coordinate and oversee staff selection, rostering, performance appraisal, and professional development.Monitor and evaluate staff performance in alignment with TSA HR policies and ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures.What you will bring:Demonstrated experience and competence in nursing within the alcohol and other drugs nursing environment, including working with people with mental health conditions.Current knowledge of issues relating to withdrawal management (must have) and National Guidelines (desirable).Demonstrated skills in triage, medical assessment, decision-making and providing appropriate nursing interventions and crisis support.Leadership skills of managing nursing units.Demonstrated experience in achieving KPIs and implementing strategic plans.Tertiary qualification in Nursing and current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Drivers LicenceBlue card (Paid WWCC)What we offer:Salary packaging up to $15,900 tax free + $2,650 meal entertainment benefit.Flexible working arrangements.Access to EAP and health & wellness initiativesOngoing training and development opportunities that enhance on the job skills and proficiency.Rewarding and fulfilling purpose driven careers that have positive and sustainable / social impacts.About usThe Salvation Army (Salvos) is a Christian movement and one of Australia''s largest and most-loved charities.
