We are seeking a passionate and experienced Wine Store / Retail Manager to lead the launch and day-to-day operations of our first physical store.A Bit About UsGood Pair Days is a leader in innovative wine retail, offering a personalised, immersive wine discovery experience that our members love. Were now launching our first-ever physical store and wine bara game-changing space that blends curated wine selections, gourmet experiences, and personalised service with the digital innovation our members know and love.About the RoleWe are seeking a passionate and experienced Retail / Store Manager to oversee the operations of our physical store. This role is integral in ensuring a seamless in-store experience, driving sales, and managing a high-performing team. You will be responsible for overall site management, ensuring smooth day-to-day retail operations while aligning with our brand vision.Were also open to candidates from other fields such as marketing, sales, hospitality, or customer experience who are looking to bring their skills into an exciting, purpose-driven retail environment. You dont need to have the perfect wine or retail backgroundwhat matters most is your ability to lead, connect with customers, and build something special from the ground up.Key ResponsibilitiesStore Operations: Oversee all aspects of retail service, sales, operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and day-to-day logistics. Ensure compliance with alcohol licensing and company policies. Develop and implement processes to integrate in-store and online experiences seamlessly. Weekends and nights as required based on staffing.Customer Experience & Service: Deliver an exceptional in-store experience that reflects the Good Pair Days brand. Leverage customer profiles and technology to provide personalised wine recommendations. Host and manage in-store events, including tastings, workshops, and wine education sessions.Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and lead a team of passionate wine professionals and customer service staff. Foster a collaborative, customer-first culture and ensure staff are knowledgeable about wine and the Good Pair Days ethos. Provide ongoing coaching and support to achieve team and individual performance goals.Sales & Revenue: Drive in-store sales and subscription sign-ups, meeting or exceeding revenue and profitability targets. Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding customer engagement through the loyalty program.Community Engagement: Build relationships with local businesses, wine producers, and community groups to drive foot traffic and brand awareness. Act as the face of Good Pair Days, hosting events and cultivating a sense of community in the store.Reporting & Strategy: Track and report on KPIs, including sales, customer satisfaction, subscription conversions, and event attendance. Collaborate with the leadership team to refine the store concept and contribute to the long-term retail strategy.Whos a Good FitA Wine Enthusiast (or aspiring one!): You love wine or are eager to learn more and share that passion with others.
