1 day ago Be among the first 25 applicantsPublic Sector People are working with a local council in the western suburbs to recruit a Traffic & Transport Engineer for a 3-month temporary contract assignment.This current vacancy is suit to a band 6 traffic or transport engineer with 3 years + of local government experience in a traffic and transport engineering role. This will be a temporary contract role for 3 months with potential for extension.As a traffic and transport engineer you will be responsible for reviewing and providing comments on transport, traffic and parking related issues and assisting with the development and implementation of Traffic Management Plans.The successful candidate will have proven traffic engineering experience, strong communication skills and the ability to hit the ground running and working independently.Responsibilities And Experience For This RoleAssess and investigate customer/residents requestsAssess and prepare Engineering/ traffic reports on planning referralsAssist with development of traffic management plansProvide recommendations to resolve traffic and parking issuesInvestigate the effectiveness of transport related projectsThe Ideal Candidate Will HaveA degree in Civil Engineering, or relevant experience/qualificationsPrevious Local Government experience in a traffic engineering roleKnowledge and understanding of municipal traffic issues.Ability to prepare and review Traffic Management PlansSound communication skills both written and verbalAbility to provide timely and professional adviceAbout Public Sector PeoplePublic Sector People is a specialist recruitment agency focused on connecting talent with purpose across local and state government.
