The Sr. Designer will be expected to work in an almost completely autonomous manner and may make significant project decisions based on their expertise and managers approval. This position requires proficiency in all required LDG software and minimal supervision from project managers.Key ResponsibilitiesProficient in CAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Microstation, InRoads, Sketch-Up, Photoshop, and other relevant software to develop accurate, clean, and deliverable drawings.Review work for accuracy, make corrections from red lines, and backcheck.Write specifications, review submittals, and coordinate project submissions.Coordinate preparation of multi-discipline drawing sets, including collaboration with technical, administrative, and design staff.Support quality assurance and quality control processes to improve deliverables and reduce errors and omissions.Interpret and apply design standards, regulations, code requirements, and permits to projects.Create standard details independently as directed.Review shop drawings and working submissions from contractors.Assist with design calculations, quantity take-offs, review technical specifications, and prepare cost estimates.Education and ExperienceAssociates or Bachelors degree in a technical discipline.Minimum of ten (10) years related experience.Licensure/Certification: Not applicable.QualificationsStrong desire to expand knowledge and responsibilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).Excellent communication and presentation skills.Self-motivated with mentoring abilities.Proficiency in CAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Microstation, InRoads (Surfaces/Templates), Sketch-Up, Photoshop, and related software.EEO StatementLarson Design Group, Inc. is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO).
