Featuring 155 contemporary rooms designed with tech and premium amenities, it caters perfectly to both business and leisure travellers alike and is the leading premium event destination in the North of Adelaide.The Crowne Meetings & Events Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in driving banqueting revenue and overseeing the successful planning and execution of events. This position works collaboratively with the Food & Beverage team and Executive Chef to ensure our Conference & Events offering consistently exceeds guest and client expectations. In addition, you will build strategic partnerships and external alliances to enhance the hotel''s market positioning, while actively promoting the hotel and brand through community engagement and professional networks.Working independently, you are responsible for managing the entire event sales cycle from lead generation through execution to post-event follow-up. You are both the face of the business and the engine behind event success. This role requires a unique blend of commercial drive, event planning expertise, operational agility, and high-level professionalism. Join our fun and dynamic team and take on the challenge!Your day to dayMaintain awareness of the hotels revenue targets and forecasts, making commercially sound decisions to meet or exceed banqueting revenue goalsOversee the full event process: proposals, site inspections, contracts, banquet event orders, and post-event invoicingLead weekly pipeline meetings, actively pursue new revenue opportunities, and drive sales conversionBuild strategic partnerships and sponsorships to increase brand visibility and business developmentOwn lead conversion for the Meetings & Events and support conversion for Business Development leadsDrive success of key hotel ticketed events (e.g. Mothers Day, Christmas Day, Melbourne Cup)Ensure all internal and community events are financially viable and within budgetBuild and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.Follow up after events to gather feedback and secure repeat business.Handle client concerns or complaints quickly and professionally.Meet and greet clients during conference and throughout the day.Liaise with internal departments (catering, operations, AV, front desk) to ensure smooth event execution.Create event function sheets and briefing documents for operational teams.Ensure all client specifications are understood and delivered accurately.Update CRM systems with client data, sales activities, and event notes.Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports and forecasts.Stay informed about competitor offerings, industry trends, and market demand.What We Need From YouBachelors degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel Administration or Event ManagementFamiliarity with Delphi, Meeting Broker, CVent and HotelKey is preferredIn-depth knowledge of Conference and Events operationsAbility to work independently and have a flexible work approachAn out the box thinker and leader who creates a high-performance work environmentAbility to develop strategic sales plans, establish goals and objectives, set performance targets and deliver projects on timeAbility to analyse, identify key issues, interpret and extract trends from base informationStrong commercial and communication skillsProactive approach to developing and maintaining strong relations with clients and stakeholders including customers and senior managementIn-depth knowledge of sales principles and techniquesWhat You Can Expect From UsYou''ll be rewarded for your hard work with a suite of benefits that supports you and your family''s wellbeing, including:Paid birthday leaveHotel perks like accommodation and food & beverage discountsPaid Parental leaveYour career journey will be supported through our lifelong development programIHG Career Milestone celebrationsTransfer of entitlements as you move and grow with IHGAccess to our discount retail platform that makes your pay for even furtherEmpowering female leaders of the future through our RISE programAt IHG, weve made a promise.
