We also work to empowerindividuals, families, and communities to optimise their health.About the roleThis is anexciting opportunity to lead the Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) adultprogram team. The SEWB Manager will leadand oversee the delivery of culturally appropriate and trauma informed programsdelivered to our adult clients.Responsibilities:Lead and oversee theallocation and management of program resources, including staff roster, vehiclebooking, and purchase order approvals.Ensure efficient andtimely delivery of adult SEWB services activities based on client centredapproaches and trauma informed practices.Develop, implement,and manage social and emotional wellbeing programs tailored to the needs of theAboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.Contribute toprogram planning, ensuring alignment with overall health objectives andcommunity priorities.Regularly assess andevaluate the effectiveness of programs and services, ensuring they meetcommunity needs and align with best practices.Represent theprogram at community events, forums, and meetings as required.To besuccessful you will need:This is anidentified role for people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent.Qualifications inmental health, AOD, psychology, social work, or a related discipline.2 years ofexperience in SEWB, mental health, AOD, psychology, social work, or a relateddisciplineWell-developedknowledge of leadership and team management skills, with experience inoverseeing and mentoring staff.Knowledge of thesocial determinants of health (environment, economic, and social inequalities)that have a profound impact on the health and well-being of Aboriginal andTorres Strait Islander people.Demonstrated abilityto use culturally sensitive ways to ensure improved client access to DDHSand/or other health services.Proven teamwork,communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to constructivelynegotiate outcomes with a diverse range of people and service providers.High level ofpersonal resilience and flexibility with the ability to deal with challengingsituations.Demonstratedcomputer skills, especially in the use of client information systems orsimilar.Experience inworking in an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service.Demonstratedexperience and competency in working with Communicare.What we offer:6 weeks annualleave per annum5 days paid leaveduring our end of year shut down period (in addition to annual leave).Salary packagingof up to $15,990 per annum.Employment with DDHS is subject to a policecheck, a current NT working with children''s card, CPR certificate, and fullvaccination against COVID-19, or an exemption as listed on the AustralianImmunisation Register (AIR).Only those with full working rights will beconsidered for this position.Unlock job insightsSalary match Number of applicants Skills matchTo help fast track investigation, please include here any other relevant details that prompted you to report this job ad as fraudulent / misleading / discriminatory. #J-18808-Ljbffr
