Our goal is to cultivate an impactful and sustainable documentary sector, empowering Australian voices to reach global audiences through powerful, thought-provoking screen content.About the role:We are seeking an Investment and Development Manager to join our Documentary Unit. Reporting to the Head of Documentary and working with the broader Documentary team this position will assess and manage applications for funding across Screen Australias Documentary programs and initiatives. The successful candidate will liaise with industry practitioners to provide information and advice regarding applications, and work closely with applicants to ensure funded projects are successfully completed and delivered. This position may require some travel.Based in either Melbourne or Sydney, this full-time, two-year contract offers a unique opportunity to drive the success of Australian screen content.About you:A strong track record in relevant roles such as developing, producing, directing, writing, commissioning across documentary and or factual projects that demonstrates high levels of creative, strategic and commercial skills and knowledge.Demonstrable high-level knowledge and understanding of the Australian and international screen industry, across all platforms.Demonstrable knowledge of the local and global industry landscape including with regards to innovation, funding models, distribution and audience trends across all platforms.Demonstrated knowledge of production budgets, finance plans and other financial matters related to production.The benefits:In return you will receive a competitive salary + 15.4% super, work in our modern offices in Ultimo; and become part of a collaborative, creative and high performing team environment.At Screen Australia, we recognise that a diverse workforce is essential to our success.
