Job Description About the team and the role The Planning & Delivery team manages critical planning, design, and infrastructure projects that support Sydney Airport''s strategic goals. We focus on customer-centric engagement, transparency, value for money, and minimizing disruptions to airport operations. The Project Manager leads and oversees projects from start to finish, including stakeholder engagement, design, procurement, delivery, and commissioning. You will collaborate with internal teams, communicate project status, and work with government agencies and support contractors, fostering continuous improvement with a growth mindset. In this role, you will have the opportunity to Ensure timely project delivery, manage contracts, and implement works aligned with stakeholder needs and best practices. Prepare briefs and business cases, lead design and approval processes, and coordinate with sponsors, tenants, and stakeholders to finalize drawings. Lead tendering, monitor compliance with safety, security, and environmental standards, and report on project progress and risks. Foster a positive team culture, oversee project teams, and motivate staff to maintain high engagement. Manage stakeholder communications, define project scopes, and resolve conflicts between projects and operations. About you Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related fields. 5-10 years experience in managing complex civil and infrastructure projects. Proven leadership in multi-disciplinary project environments. Strong knowledge of project management, procurement, contracts, WHS, and sustainability practices. Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and communication skills. Customer-focused with high service standards. White card and Australian Drivers license required. Knowledge of Sydney Airport approval processes and MOS 139 (desirable). Lean Six Sigma yellow belt certification (desirable).
