About the roleGV Hotel is seeking a skilled and experienced Function & Entertainment Manager to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this full-time role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all functions and entertainment events at our premier hotel located in Shepparton, Victoria.What you''ll be doingManage the end-to-end planning and delivery of functions, events, and entertainment at the hotel, ensuring an exceptional guest experienceLiaise with clients to understand their requirements and translate them into seamless event plansOversee setup, catering, audiovisual, and staffing needs for each eventDevelop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and local entertainment providersPrepare event budgets and monitor expenses to ensure profitabilitySeek opportunities to enhance the hotel''s entertainment offerings and attract new clienteleProvide leadership and mentorship to the functions and events teamEnsure all events comply with health, safety, and licensing regulationsWhat we''re looking forMinimum 2 years of experience in a similar function and entertainment management role within the hospitality industryProven success in planning and delivering a range of events, from small gatherings to large celebrationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective liaising with clients, suppliers, and stakeholdersStrong organizational and problem-solving skills, capable of multitasking and working under pressureProficiency in event planning software and toolsFlexibility and adaptability, with a commitment to exceptional customer serviceA passion for the hospitality industry and creating memorable guest experiencesWhat we offerAt GV Hotel, we value our employees and strive to create a positive, supportive work environment.
