Job Description

As a result of Georgiou''s significant growth after securing a further three major Western Australian Infrastructure projects, we are seeking a Senior Sustainability Advisor to join the Georgiou Environmental & Sustainability team.This crucial role is integral in fostering a sustainability-aware mindset throughout our workforce and lead project teams in implementing specific sustainability requirements and processes, ensuring alignment with Georgiou standards, client expectations, and legislative mandates.What to expect in this role:Sustainability Management* Ability to continually design, review and manage project SMS/EMS.* Manage onsite sustainability systems to meet Georgiou, legislative and client requirements and expectations.* Monitor and identify risks and opportunities to deliver a sustainability rating.* Ability to manage reporting requirements associated with contractual sustainability requirements at the Project level.* Coach, train and review the sustainability performance and competency of employees against criteria and provide feedback.* Mentor subcontractors and suppliers in sustainable procurement to create shared opportunities* Develop a budget and track and report on Sustainability costs over the lifetime of the Project (from tender to practical completion).* Champion change and innovation at the Project level.Communication* Develop and coordinate the delivery of sustainability communication internally and champion Georgious sustainability capabilities* Develop and deliver key Sustainability workshops/training courses to the Project team and wider Georgiou workforce.* Liaise effectively with key stakeholders, including (not limited to), sustainability governing bodies (ISC), clients(s), regulators and working groups.* Coordinate the preparation of external sustainability reports including the Project Annual Sustainability Report and Final Achievement Report.What we are seeking:* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.* Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering or other suitable disciplines.* Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professional (ISAP)* Knowledge of International Sustainability Standards including the Infrastructure Sustainability Rating Scheme, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and the Global Reporting Initiative.* Knowledge & understanding of Commonwealth, State, Acts, Regulations and Australian Standards* Knowledge & understanding of Infrastructure Sustainability including Sustainable Procurement, Resource Efficiency and Circular Economy, Energy and Carbon Management, Workforce Sustainability, Resilience, and Environmental Impacts.* Application of sustainable practices* Knowledge of ISO 14001 requirements* Good knowledge of licence approval processes* Investigation experience Well-developed interpersonal skills* Strong written and verbal communication skills* Strong presentation skills* Knowledge & understanding of environmental monitoring noise, dust, vibration and waterWhy Georgiou:* CCF multiple award-winning national business with a strong pipeline of upcoming projects and opportunities for career development* Competitive salary package, plus retention bonus and access to Georgiou Perks platform providing discounts to a multitude of retailers* Supportive leadership teams who care for and mentor you to achieve your full potential* Values-led organisation guided by care, integrity and excellence in everything we do* Well-being leave, Paid parental leave and flexible work arrangements availableIf you share Georgiou''s values of care, integrity and excellence, are committed to collaboration and innovation, and are looking for your next exciting challenge, we want to hear from you!
