Our culture combined with our commitment to service and our customers has seen La Trobe Financial grow to over $20 billion assets under management and over 550 employees deployed across Melbourne and Sydney.The OpportunityAs part of our Asset Management team, the Transformation Manager will provide leadership and be responsible for leading complex, high-value projects to support businesses strategic goals, investment platforms, regulatory compliance, digital transformation, and operational efficiency.The Transformation Manager will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, while aligning with La Trobe Financial''s risk management and governance frameworks.As the Asset Management business continues its transformation journey, the Transformation Manager will foster strong collaborative relationships across multiple divisions and work closely with our technology teams on delivering solutions that enhance our customers experience.Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Project Leadership - Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria in alignment with business goals.Support the business by aiding in the maintenance and refinement of the product backlog.Establish a climate of trust and teamwork with a focus on driving outcomes collaboratively.Assist with both internal and external communication improvements, enhancing transparency, and fostering open collaboration.2. Planning & ExecutionDevelop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.Oversee the full project life cyclefrom initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure ensuring adherence to project governance and change control processes.3. Stakeholder ManagementEngage with senior stakeholders, including portfolio managers, risk officers, and external vendors.Facilitate regular status updates, steering committee meetings, and executive reporting.Manage expectations and resolve conflicts or escalations effectively.4. Risk & Compliance OversightIdentify, assess, and mitigate project risks, especially those related to financial regulations (e.g., MiFID II, ESG reporting, Basel III).Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and industry standards.Track project budgets, benefits and financial forecasts.6. Performance Monitoring & ReportingSet-up and generate regular reporting to track, monitor and report team progress against the agreed schedule, budget and quality.Prepare regular reporting for stakeholders and senior leadership team.Deliver post-implementation reviews and lessons learned to support continuous improvement.About YouMinimum of seven (7) + years experience in a similar role in a digital environment.Experience in a similar role in within the Asset Management or the Investment Banking Industry.Extensive experience in technical project management in a dynamic and agile working environment (Scrum, Lean, Kanban, Waterfall etc 7 tools to support delivery)Proven leadership and successful management of team outcomes.Experience in working collaboratively with cross functional teams.Certification in Waterfall and Agile Project Management would be highly advantageous.Strong ability to converse with internal and external stakeholders and team members across all levels of the organisation.Highly developed operations, process and project management methodology skills.Effective leadership style that delivers outcomes and solutions through a collaborative approach.An appreciation of both technical and business strategy.Ability to effectively coach and develop the team.Ability to identify the why.
