Strategic Shipbuilding Agreement (SSA) With an exciting pipeline of future work for the Australian Defence Force at Henderson Shipyard, now is the time to join us to be part of meaningful work in a dynamic and outcome-focused environment. We aim to become the Commonwealth''s "Strategic Shipbuilder" in the West, targeting the Strategic Shipbuilding Agreement (SSA). Join us to participate in ongoing naval shipbuilding, contributing to significant work for the Australian Defence Force. The SSA will enable the design and build of vessels at Henderson Shipyard, initially focusing on Landing Craft Medium & Heavy for the Australian Army, supporting continuous naval shipbuilding in WA. The SSA''s goal is to establish the capability within the Henderson Precinct and Western Australia to consistently build vessels for the Commonwealth, led by Austal, involving local industry, supply chain, and workforce engagement. About The Opportunity The Communication Coordinator will collaborate closely with the Vice President of Strategic Shipbuilding and the SSA team to develop and implement communication strategies that promote the SSAs mission, brand, and initiatives. This key role embodies our ''delivering together'' ethos and includes: Writing, editing, and proofreading press releases, articles, blog posts, social media content, newsletters, and other materials Creating engaging content for SSA digital platforms Developing and executing social media strategies to engage target audiences, increase brand awareness, and promote SSA objectives Monitoring social media channels and responding to inquiries, comments, and messages Coordinating media outreach Assisting in planning and executing communications for SSA events, conferences, and campaigns Skills And Experience Bachelors degree in communications, Public Relations, marketing, Journalism, or a related field 3+ years experience in communications, public relations, social media, or related fields Proven ability to produce professional content for various platforms and audiences Experience with social media management and analytics tools Due to security clearance requirements, applicants must be Australian citizens eligible for a Baseline Security Clearance through the Australian Department of Defence.
