This exciting position leads on-ground marine park and island management across the Great Barrier Reef and southern marine parks, including the iconic Raine Island. You''ll drive strategic initiatives, partner with Traditional Owners to strengthen sea country management, and help shape Queenslands marine conservation efforts.Work with passionate teams, lead high-impact projects, and make a real difference to the future of the Reef.Great Barrier Reef and Marine Parks (GBR&MP) Region are excited to share an incredible opportunity for a Project Manager to join the team on a temporary basis.As one of the six regions of the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service, the GBR&MP Region delivers conservation and management activities across land and sea including implementing the Reef Joint Field Management Program in the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area. Additionally, the Region oversees the state''s southern marine parks - Great Sandy Marine Park and Moreton Bay Marine Park.The Project Manager leads key initiatives across the GBR&MP Region, working closely with Traditional Owners, stakeholders, and government partners on projects like First Nations partnerships, regional communications, and the Raine Island Recovery Project.
