The Department of Health is seeking suitably qualified applicants for one Allied Health Lead Practitioner for CYMHS Youth Mental Health in the Northwest of Tasmania.The Team:Come join our team and apply your skills, passion, and knowledge in making a positive difference in the lives of young people in the Northwest of Tasmania. We are seeking a senior allied health professional with experience in clinical leadership, complex case management, assessment, counselling and/or therapy, ideally within mental health or a relevant/related sector. You would be working within a well-supported, innovative, diverse multidisciplinary team to provide developmentally appropriate treatment with young people and their families.Our Aim:The Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) in Tasmania is growing! We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Practitioner to provide clinical services to young people and their families/significant others experiencing mental health concerns. The position is within our new team, currently being developed under the CYMHS reform program (Youth, Youth Forensic, Out of Home Care, and Youth Hospital in the Home). The Lead Practitioner will have a passion for a person-centred approach and working within a multidisciplinary team environment, providing high-level clinical leadership.Leadership training is available and provided by the Tasmanian Health Service in partnership with the University of Tasmania.You will:Be part of a dynamic, well-supported team committed to delivering high-quality mental health services to young people and their families/carers.Undertake clinical services through complex case management, assessment, and individual therapies, including developing and implementing specialised treatment programs.Collaborate with team leaders and consultant psychiatrists to develop new youth mental health services in Tasmania.Lead and work with a diverse group of clinicians as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing support and consultation as needed.One allied health position in the Northwest:Office based in Devonport.The Northwest Coast offers access to beaches, bushwalks, and recreational activities across small cities and townships, making it a beautiful part of lutruwita.Attractive relocation support and international visa assistance may be available for successful applicants.For more about Tasmania, visit: Brand Tasmania | TasmanianNote: Refer to the Statement of Duties for all selection criteria to address in your application.Details of appointment:Permanent, full-time, day worker position, 76 hours per fortnight, starting as soon as possible.
