Flexible work arrangements with work from home daysGlen Iris office location with site visitsMulti-state presence, Market leading contractorTHE ROLEAs the Environmental Advisor, you will focus on environmental management plans, work practices, improvements, initiatives, and awareness.RESPONSIBILITIESCollaborate with pre-contracts teams to ensure environmental management measures are incorporated into our submissions and planned project activities.Develop documentation such as Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs) to support tender submissions and environmental approvals on a national level.Develop and provide environmental awareness programs and training.Undertake environmental inspections and oversee the implementation of environmental management measures.Drive the implementation of Duratecs certified Environmental Management System (EMS).Support the development of systems, subplans, inspections, and monitoring tools.Review environmental incidents and assist with environmental incident management at a national level.Support project delivery to obtain and maintain compliance with relevant environmental obligations.Lead environmental initiatives.Support the project teams in meeting environmental commitments.Support organisational change within your area of control to achieve ESG objectives and strategy.ABOUT YOUPrevious experience in the construction or mining sector would be advantageous for this opportunity.An understanding of Defence Estate environmental policies, Defence Heritage Strategy, and applicable state and territory environmental regulations.Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (Environmental Sciences, Sustainable Development, Sustainability).Proficient in environmental monitoring, inspection, auditing, data collection, and reporting.Knowledge of environmental legislation, regulatory frameworks, approval processes, and industrial compliance.Experience with electronic HSE event management/Health surveillance systems.Strong communication skills with the ability to develop effective internal stakeholder relationships.THE BENEFITSOngoing rewards & recognition programs.Access to discounts from Australias leading retailers with Flare.Paid parental leave.Employee referral programs up to $2000.Salary sacrifice options.Employee Assistance Program.Novated lease options.First Aid and Mental First Aid Support Officers.Submit your resume today and start a conversation with one of our recruiters.
