Our client is seeking an experience Account Manager to join their team based in Sydney, NSW. They are at the forefront of Avionics, ISR, RADAR and Gas Turbine engine technologies to name a few. Their capabilities are widely used in commercial and defence systems and platforms worldwide.To be successful the Account Manager will have experience in and be responsible for driving sales and managing customer relationships across various markets, including government agencies, defence and potentially offshore clients and commercial entities. The ideal candidate will be required to explore and develop of new customers, across Australia and APAC. An additional responsibility will be to develop plans for after-sales support. This is an important aspect that will also need to be created and developed.The role:Develop and win new businessExperienced in planning and forecasting sales and opportunitiesExecute sales plansMaximise the portfolio of existing clientsReport Directly into the Head of SalesHave a traceable sales recordAppreciate different markets; Commercial, Government AgenciesDevelop and implement business strategiesTarget new markets and maintain market share.Help shape tenders and bidsStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships.Good technical knowledge relating to the aforementioned technologyThe PersonQualifications in Avionics or Electronics Engineering would be desirable.A proven background in business development with Account Management experienceA strong network in Defence AerospaceThrive in developing existing markets as well as targeting new markets.Passionate about winning and developing new business.The ability to speak to senior decision makers with confidenceNew business focusedExcellent Relationship building skills.Must hold or be able to attain and maintain an AGSVA clearanceThis is a key role.
