You will be responsible for developing and leading the implementation of large-scale transformation strategies, ensuring seamless co-existence of legacy and modern systems while optimising associated processes. You will be a key member of the Enterprise Modernisation, Platform, and Cloud service line.Job responsibilitiesPartner with business development in key verticals to identify modernisation opportunities aligned with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and organisational readiness for change.Lead pre-sales, proposal creation, and client engagement shaping around our service offerings, while educating clients and colleagues on the value and commercial impact of modernisation and transformation services.Act as a trusted advisor to C-level executives, guiding both technology and business leaders through enterprise modernisation journeys that encompass technical, process, and cultural shifts.Design and implement strategies for the phased co-existence of legacy and modern systems, ensuring business continuity, operational efficiency, and minimal disruption.Develop change management frameworks to support the adoption of new platforms and practices, addressing people, process, and technology dimensions.Create points of view, solutioning content, and repeatable practices based on client needs and industry trends, enabling scalable and repeatable modernisation efforts.Drive the creation of industry-leading IP and best practices for legacy modernisation, while nurturing and upskilling future Thoughtworks thought leaders.Collaborate closely with technical leaders and delivery teams to ensure successful execution of engagements and extraordinary client impact.Stay aligned with Thoughtworks'' business strategy and technology goals, contributing to the overall growth of the Enterprise Modernisation, Platforms, and Cloud service line.Lead from the front with the delivery team to strategise and deliver large modernisation programmes, liaising with key client stakeholders and delivery teams to make it a success.Job qualificationsTechnical SkillsProficient in Agile, Lean, Continuous Delivery methodologies, SRE practices, and DevOps philosophies.Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, aligning technology modernisation with organisational goals and cultural readiness.Able to articulate modernisation initiatives in terms of business value and commercial value, building business cases using TCO (including change management) and ROI.Proficiency in developing and executing change management strategies that address people, process, and technology impacts of modernisation.Demonstrated ability to assess organizational readiness for change and develop tailored strategies to address potential challenges and resistance.Expertise in managing the co-existence of legacy and modern systems, ensuring seamless integration, business continuity, and progressive decommissioning of legacy assets.Experience in guiding organizations through a strategic approach to managing technical debt, prioritizing based on business value and risk.Good understanding of enterprise architecture, common modernisation patterns, and legacy system landscapes.Proven experience in executing large-scale modernisation and migration programs in complex enterprise environments.
