Were on the lookout for a Graduate or Junior Acoustic Engineer (0-2 years experience) to join our Sydney team and support the delivery of high-quality acoustic outcomes across commercial, healthcare, education, and retail projects.Whether you''re a recent graduate or an early-career engineer looking for a meaningful shift into acoustics, this is a fantastic opportunity to grow within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.As an Acoustic Engineer, you will:Assist in the design, assessment, and documentation of building and environmental acoustic solutions from early design through to construction stages.Carry out acoustic modelling, calculations, and site measurements under guidance.Prepare high-quality technical reports. Strong report writing skills are essential to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.Collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated design solutions.Gain exposure to relevant Australian Standards, the National Construction Code (NCC), and local planning requirements.Undertake site inspections, measurements, and commissioning to validate acoustic design performance.Support clients in understanding and achieving their acoustic goals, balancing compliance, comfort, and innovationTo succeed in this role, youll bring:Educational Background: A tertiary qualification in engineering, such as: Acoustics, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.Experience: 0-2 years of experience (including internships or industry placements) in acoustic consulting or a related engineering field.Career Changers Welcome: This could be a great fit if youre looking to pivot from another engineering discipline into a specialised and growing field like acoustics.Skills & Interests: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a keen interest in acoustic design and environmental noise, and a high attention to detail.Report Writing: Excellent written communication and report writing skills are essential.Bonus: Familiarity with Sydneys local noise policies or experience contributing to DA applications in Sydney or surrounding councils is a strong advantage.Why ADP?Founded in Australia in 2011, ADP Consulting is a sustainability-led engineering consultancy known for delivering technical excellence and innovative design solutions.
