In this key role, you will mitigate risks to our people, operations, and assets across International Region (Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia, Pacific and Latin America).Key job responsibilitiesOwn and drive difficult risk programs (e.g., risk appetite, risk assessment process, risk training, change management process) and manage cross-functional risk projectsMitigate long-term risks and identify paths forward in difficult situationsLead detailed discussions to align on difficult business problems and solutions using your knowledge and experience to ensure the correct business partners are part of the discussion groupsInform your stakeholders about appropriate response and mitigation to emerging risks identified within Amazon OperationsBasic QualificationsA relevant degree or degree equivalent (e.g., security, risk, data analysis)Relevant experience within Risk ManagementRelevant experience with security information gathering and analysisRelevant experience with risk management technology platforms (e.g., AuditBoard)Advanced proficiency in written and verbal EnglishA day in the lifeAs a Risk Manager on the Risk Management team, you will join a team of professionals supporting the Security and Loss Prevention team with translating threat identification into risk assessments, risk treatment plans, mitigation strategies, and escalation frameworks. To achieve this goal, you will own and drive risk programs to identify security operational, asset, and people risks within the organisation and work to mitigate those risks. You will plan, design, and implement an overall risk management process for the organisation and report risks in an appropriate way to different audiences. You will evaluate the companys internal control framework effectiveness in addressing risks and accomplishing goals. You also provide risk support, education, and training to associates to build risk awareness within the organisation.About The TeamWorking in partnership with our stakeholders, Security and Loss Prevention secures the Amazon supply chain end-to-end and promotes security during business conversations. Sitting within Security and Loss Prevention, the Risk Management team does this by creating and maintaining risk frameworks to ensure continuation of our business, providing risk assessments, risk preparedness, contingency planning, and incident response as a service to business and operational Security and Loss Prevention teams. We provide strategic, tactical, and operational mechanisms by working closely with senior management and various other support teams in a global framework. We accomplish this through policies and standardized guidelines based on best practices, using technology to eliminate subjectivity, complexity, and variation, identifying, preparing for, and mitigating the impact of adverse events, and auditing our practices to ensure compliance and consistency.Basic Qualifications4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experienceBachelor''s degree or equivalentExperience handling confidential informationPreferred Qualifications3+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experienceProfessional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentialsExperience with SQL and ExcelAcknowledgement Of CountryIn the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
