Essential to your success will be delivery planning, building the right capabilities, leading and coaching teams by leading by example, and creating an innovative and engaging culture.The ResponsibilitiesGrow, develop and inspire the CloudOps team to maintain, improve and modernize a highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWSHelp optimize system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement proactive monitoring solutions.Improve and implement infrastructure deployments and operational processes to improve efficiency and reliability of the team.Deliver high-value internal improvement projects to improve platforms and business initiativesCollaborate with worldwide cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of our products.The RequirementsA proven track record of 8+ years managing large-scale production systems.At least 5+ years of experience leading Operations/Infrastructure Engineering teamsExperience working in a global, distributed team environment.Experience in planning internal projects such as migrations and upgrades.Extensive experience managing and administering AWS services.Advanced Linux administration skills, with deep knowledge of system internals, networking, and security.Solid understanding of database administration, ideally with MariaDB and PostgreSQL on Amazon RDS.Proficiency with monitoring and logging tools like Datadog and CloudWatch.Intermediate Python scripting skills for automation and operational tasks.Proficiency in Git-based workflows, including branching strategies, code reviews, and continuous integration.A commitment to documentation, collaboration, and continuous learning.Ability to learn from experience.Operational experience running production, 24x7, infrastructure at scaleWhy you?This is an exciting opportunity for you to step into an influential leadership position where you can make your mark in a forward-thinking organisation and make a meaningful difference across a domain that''s evolving on the cusp of the transformative digital age!
