We know every conversation, code line, and interface design is an opportunity to enrich our customers experiences.Reporting to Head of Legal, Commercial (APAC), you will support the Legal function in building a world-class legal and regulatory infrastructure for sustainable business performance. This includes ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements related to customer data, billing, payment processing, and maintaining relevant licenses globally (payment institution, money remittance, etc.).Some responsibilities include:Providing legal advice to business units and central functions on legal risks and all aspects of the groups activities in APAC.Offering pragmatic, legally sound guidance and fostering a culture of excellence among stakeholders.Maintaining relationships with external counsel and strategic advisors.Supporting all business areas with legal and contractual needs, including commercial contracts, product development, payments, sales, and marketing.Handling substantive legal issues such as commercial, payments, privacy, product, intellectual property, regulatory, and corporate matters.Monitoring and responding to relevant statutory, regulatory, and policy changes.Promoting a culture of compliance with internal policies and external regulations.Staying updated on legal developments and advising the business accordingly.Location: This role is fully remote within Australia, provided you have full working rights.QualificationsWe seek curious, empathetic individuals motivated by meaningful work, aligned with our core values, positive, adaptable, and strategic thinkers who prioritize people.Required qualifications:Law degree from a reputable institution; admitted as a solicitor/lawyer in Australia preferred.Prior in-house legal experience.At least 4 years of legal experience post-qualification.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in teams.Strong legal negotiation and drafting skills, from law firm or in-house roles.Broad legal experience including corporate, commercial, payments, product/technology, IP, and compliance.Practical approach to legal operations and best practices.Critical thinking and proactive curiosity.Alignment with Xplors culture and values, comfortable in changing environments.Willing to work across different time zones as needed.We encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds, even if they do not meet all criteria.Additional InformationOur core values are: Make life simple, Build for people, Move with purpose, Create lasting communities.We offer a global network, support for growth, and benefits such as parental leave, volunteer days, LinkedIn Learning, diversity initiatives, mental health support, and flexible work arrangements.Ready to apply?Submit your resume with "moonshot" at the top of your message.
