This role supports our operational leaders by aligning people goals with business goals to achieve optimum results while cultivating a workplace that reflects the values of Hawaiis local culture and the Aloha Spirit.Key Responsibilities:Compliance:Adherence of all Company programs and policiesConduct Hotels Talent & Culture Audits across region, develop action plans as required, and monitoring completionSupport Talent & Culture systems and programsEnsure adherence to all compliance training such as Discrimination & Harassment, Watch, and any locally compliant trainingManage bi-annual HR Data indicators and other metrics for roll-up to Global Talent & Culture Corporate officeCompensation:Adhere to regional grade structureOversee annual salary and merit review within regionReview regional STIP awards with Regional Vice President and submit for approval in line with company guidelinesEngagement: Manage and ensure maximum participation in annual and pulse surveys across the regionReview of regional EES results, providing guidance to Director, Talent & Culture and General Managers as needed, ensuring effective action planning across the regionProvide guidance and direction on effective action planning, monitor action planning initiativesLiaise with Directors, Talent & Culture on communication strategies for promoting completion of initiatives and celebrating successesLeadership:Provide advice, guidance and general leadership to Directors of Talent & Culture within the RegionProvide input on the performance of Directors, Talent & Culture and success in achieving annual goalsChampion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, with deep respect for Hawaiis unique cultural values and communities.Legal:Ensure Region and hotels are compliant on all labor laws and key amendmentsAdvise and guide on local legal HR matters with legal counsel as appropriateHandle any Ethics / Compliance / Privacy matters as requiredEmployee/Labor Relations:Foster a positive, engaged, and inclusive workplace culture rooted in the principles of Aloha kindness, unity, humility, and patienceEnsure local annual competitive set review is completed, and discrepancies are acted onSupport and guide employee/labor relations matters within the region as appropriate and ensure thoughtful and timely reporting of challenges & successesLearning and Development:Ensure all company culture and brand training is in place and conducted on a regular basis.Ensure leaders are participating in Leadership Training Programs and initiativesOwn all regional Inspire participants, ensuring program elements being offered and development opportunities provided, meeting with participants on a regular basisRecruitment:Director of Talent & Culture appointments recruit and identify lead candidate to be approved by NCA Corporate Talent & CultureOnboard/orient new Directors, Talent & CultureSupport RVPs with recruitment of key leadership rolesMaintain strong relationships with hotel schools within regionTalent Management & Succession Planning:Manage data for annual NCA Talent Review, ensuring data is accurate and validManage succession planning and movement of internal talent as appropriate across the RegionEnsure a strong mentor program within region with program coordinator oversight in placeUpdate regional succession reports as requiredQualificationsValues based individual who has the interest and ability to embrace the aloha way of life.Minimum of 5 years experience with oversight for more than one unitStrategic thinking with ability to execute plans and produce resultsExcellent inter-personal and communication skills (written and verbal)Collaborator, with the ability to build strong relationshipsSubject matter expertise on company programs, systems, policies and proceduresStrong business acumen and analytical thinkerExcellent presentation skillsUniversity Degree in HR or related discipline preferredAdditional InformationVisa Requirements: Must Legally be authorized to work in the United StatesCompetitive SalaryExcellent Company benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401K Retirement plan.Employee benefit card offering discounted rates in Accor worldwide for you and your family.Our commitment to Diversity & Inclusion:We are an inclusive company and our ambition is to attract, recruit and promote diverse talent.Why work for Accor?We are far more than a worldwide leader.
