This is your chance to be part of something special from the very beginning!The Role :Club General Managers (CGMs) are primarily responsible for the overall performance & operations of the club. This role will be integral in driving a culture of excellence, community, and high performance, working alongside our Executive Team, Regional Performance Managers, and Directors.Key Responsibilities:Manage the clubs overall budgets and financials, including Member Movement/Growth, EBITDA, & Retention strategies.Oversee a big-box style gym with 3000+ members, including a crche, retail & apparel store, and caf.Manage the day-to-day operations of the club, ensuring high-quality facilities are well maintained.Recruit, onboard, train, and retain staff members.Deliver training, mentoring, and support for the Club Department Heads, running weekly meetings to engage & motivate teams.Oversee staff rostering, approve leave, and manage payroll.Utilize internal software systems like Clubware, Debit Success, & Gym Sales to ensure policies and procedures are followed.Plan and execute club events such as Open Days & 8-week Challenges.Conduct statistical reporting & analysis.What youll need to succeed:Experience in a similar role managing a big-box gym with more than 20 staff and over 2,000 members.Proven success in KPI-driven environments with a focus on targets and team goals.Excellent rapport-building skills with diverse populations and a passion to help others succeed.Growth mindset and a genuine passion for fitness & sales.Strong problem-solving skills and resilience.Outstanding communication skillslistening, understanding, empathizing, and influencing.Customer-focused attitude aiming for exceptional outcomes.Ability to lead by example, embodying health values and behaviors.A proactive, reliable, and professional approach with a positive attitude and a desire for growth.Highly motivated, adaptable, and able to multitask and show initiative.Computer literacy and willingness to learn new systems.Current First Aid & CPR certificates (or willingness to obtain).Australian working rights.What well offer you in return:A Thriving Culture: Be part of the industrys most exciting and expanding brand.Career Growth: Opportunities for training, development, and advancement through our Future Leaders program.Relocation support to Mackay (for the right candidate).FREE gym membership at all Fitness Cartel locations.Access to Merse Wellness Spas at discounted rates.Birthday Leave - take your birthday off and get paid!State-of-the-art fitness clubs with 24/7 access, cycle studios, reformer Pilates, saunas, cafs, and more.How to Apply:Click APPLY to submit your resume and cover letter explaining why you want to work with Fitness Cartel and what you can bring to our team.
