Our people are at the core of our success, bringing expertise, innovation, and leadership to critical Defence programs.Our Technical, Advisory, and Capability practice and Team Downer serves as one of the Major Service Providers delivering consulting services and Integrated Work Packages across the Department of Defence, leveraging innovative approaches such as mission and digital engineering to enable the successful delivery of critical Defence programs.This includes collaboration with key Defence entities, including Defence Digital Group (DDG), National Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG), Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), and branches across the Navy, Army, and Air Force.We are currently seeking an experienced Inventory Lead to manage and maintain Defence inventory, ensuring compliance, supporting shipbuilding logistics, and overseeing stock control within the branch.If successful in securing a role, your work may involve:Inventory Management: Oversee stock control, cataloguing, and compliance assurance within Defence logistics.Logistics & Warehousing: Manage receipting, outfitting, and storage of Commonwealth equipment and spares.Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols, hazard reporting, and CHEMALERT account management.Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to maintain efficient inventory operations.Technical & System Proficiency: Utilise MILIS, SLIMS, and ERP systems for inventory tracking and management.We are seeking candidates with defence industry experience in the following:Inventory & Logistics Management: Oversee receipting, cataloguing, storage, and outfitting of items for naval operations.Compliance & Audits: Ensure equipment and spares align with Defence requirements, conduct safety audits, and manage hazards.Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support logistics and shipbuilding goals.System & Data Management: Maintain MILIS, SLIMS, and ERP records for accurate inventory tracking.Safety & Continuous Improvement: Minimise warehouse risks, oversee CHEMALERT compliance, and contribute to process enhancements.Our work is highly complex and confidential; applicants must be Australian citizens with a minimum NV1 security clearance. Additionally, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may be necessary.
