A career at ASC is like no other, delivering a deeper purpose we can all be proud of.About the OpportunityThe Procurement Lead for Digital Transformation Program (DTP) reports to the ASC Procurement Manager for Transformation and Partnerships as part of the Corporate Procurement function for the organisation. The Procurement Lead role will manage strategic IT procurement activities covering software, implementation services, and labour hire as part of the Digital Transformation Program. This position will develop, deliver and support business critical category strategies and related sourcing activities through proactive engagement with key business stakeholders and the external market to ensure value for money outcomes. The role is responsible for leading engagement with strategic suppliers and undertaking contracting, management and procurement activity at all levels including defining strategic sourcing strategies, project strategies, schedule planning, coordinate contracting and procurement activities ensuring value for money and delivery on time while managing subcontractor risk.This is a full-time opportunity based at our Osborne site in SA.ResponsibilitiesEstablish relationship and liaise with the supplier regarding contract development, negotiations and variations providing effective governance to ensure the supplier is performing in accordance with the contract or Purchase Order (as applicable)Manage key contract performance in cooperation with respective contract owners.Develop category strategies and sourcing plans that provide value for money, support on time delivery and manage ASCs risk.Establish relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure that category and sourcing strategies are aligned with the business objectives and to enlist their support in participating in these activities.Understand complex contractual terms and conditions to mitigate risk.Ensure that best practice procurement is applied across the ASC DTP.Provide mentoring to all relevant team members and foster continuous improvement within the team.About you7+ years of demonstrated experience in a relevant Supply Chain role in a defence, manufacturing or resource environment including experience with significant IT implementation agreementsTertiary qualification in commerce, law, supply chain or related fieldsProven ability to understand, manage and then implement complex and sophisticated contractual arrangements for enterprise softwareProven experience in delivering significant cost savings and other business value through the development and implementation of sourcing strategy and plans.Knowledge of and ability to deliver on category management, strategic sourcing, contracting principles and best practice strategiesDemonstrated experience delivering significant cost savings and other business value through the development and implementation of sourcing strategy plansProven experience with project management skills to manage sourcing projects to agreed budget restraints and timelinesAbility to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to work collaboratively to ensure optimum commercial outcomesEligibilityThis role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level.
