They have grown by acquisition to become a market leader and are currently seeking a legal professional to provide corporate commercial advice. This is a new addition to the team and an exceptional opportunity.The position reports to General Counsel and will play a pivotal role with key stakeholders and managing legal support to the funds management business.Core ResponsibilitiesLeading and advising on key strategic and legal projectsManage transactions, including acquisitions and divestmentsProviding advice on general funds management and legal issues including, financial services licensing and working closely with commercial managers, compliance and risk teamsMaintaining awareness of key legal changes and developments, potential risks, market trends and legal best practice, ensuring these are shared with the broader legal teamProactively initiating improvements and practice management initiatives to deliver efficiencies and leading projects to achieve these outcomesThe Successful CandidateInfluential and values-led legal professional with a current practising certificate and a minimum of 5 years post qualification experienceTop tier legal background ideally combined with in-house experience from within a leading asset managerKnowledge of complex legal and commercial issues and transactions from a real estate, property or construction sectors and preferably within funds managementStrong stakeholder skills and passionate about being a key member of a high performing collaborative teamTo apply for the role please email your resume to Sandra Crawford at sandra.crawford@jlegal.com.au or for a confidential discussion call 0412 367 337JLegal is a leader in Executive Search & Recruitment.
