Our environment is one in which high performance is expected, in return, we will provide you with rewards and opportunities tailored to your personal and professional goals.The OpportunityWe are seeking a Solicitor to join our leading Trademarks team to be based in Melbourne or Sydney.As a member of the Trademarks team, you will also work closely with the broader IP practice including with leading IP partners Rebekah Gay, Sue Gilchrist and Emma Iles. You will undertake a range of work that supports national and international clients including:Australian and international trademark filing and prosecution;Trademark portfolio management;Rebranding and clearance advice;Drafting and negotiating consents and co-existence agreements;Advising on intellectual property aspects of due diligence; andProviding support on trademark and domain name disputes.To be successful in this role, you will be an admitted Lawyer in Australia or New Zealand, and have:3+ years of demonstrable experience across trademark prosecutions from a leading national or international private practice, or an in-house environment;An excellent academic record coupled with strong legal skills and a practical mindset;A proactive approach and desire to be an integral member of our leading and supportive team;An ability to work to tight timeframes, collaboratively and at times autonomously;Excellent communication skills and ability to demonstrate collegiality within a team;Have a hunger to learn and develop, and be part of maintaining a market-leading practice.The team:Our Trademarks team is a tight-knit group who boast a wealth of experience, with members who have been collaborating closely and effectively for over a decade.Our specialists advise clients on all areas of trademark portfolio management to help protect our clients valuable brands and associated rights.
