The Decarbonisation Office sits within the central Rio Tinto Energy & Climate team with the role reporting to the Manager Investment, Policy and Strategy.Reporting to the Manager Investment, Policy and Strategy and working in a collaborative community as part of the Rio Tinto Energy & Climate team within the Decarbonisation Office, your responsibilities will include:Developing a deep understanding of the pipeline of decarbonisation projects and use evaluation tools for portfolio prioritisation and shaping (e.g. MACC)Work collaboratively with RTEC teams to support project investments whilst considering constraints imposed by the broader portfolio of opportunitiesProvide recommendations on preferred prioritisation of projects and make investment recommendations to key decision makersProvide qualitative and quantitative inputs to other functions within Rio Tinto such as Group Strategy, Investor Relations, TreasuryDevelop internal and external presentations, papers and other materials related to decarbonisation investments, portfolio analysis and tracking and capital allocationProvide Group executives and other senior leaders with the meaningful decarbonisation insights that they require for informed decision making, communications and advocacyShape and promote the decarbonisation narrative for Rio Tintos investment communityWhat you will bringA commitment to the safety of yourself and your teamA number of years relevant experience in corporate finance or a related fieldIntellectually curious, high performing self starterCA / CFA, MBA or equivalent professional qualifications or experienceExceptional commercial skills for investment assessment including modelling skillsProven track record providing clear and concise valuation analysis and recommendationsDeep understanding of financial markets, corporate finance and ideally decarbonisation and the energy transitionConfident ability to engage at ExCo level and aboveHigh energy and outcome focusedDiplomatic ability to shape decisions, opinions, or outcomesWhat we offer:Be recognised for your contribution, your thinking and your hard work, and go home knowing you have helped the world progress.A work environment where safety is always the number one priorityA permanent position working directly for Rio TintoA competitive base salary reflective of your skills and experience with annual incentive programComprehensive medical benefits including subsidized private health insurance for employees and immediate familyAttractive share ownership planCompany provided insurance coverExtensive salary sacrifice & salary packaging optionsCareer development & education assistance to further your technical or leadership goals.Ongoing access to family-friendly health and medical wellbeing supportExclusive employee discounts (banking, accommodation, cars, retail and more)Flexible working arrangementsIf this sounds like you and the opportunity you are looking for, apply now.
