Our school day runs from 8:00 AM to 2:15 PM.About the opportunity:St. John Paul II is actively seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Religious Education & Studies of Religion Teacher to become a valuable part of our team in a full-time temporary role starting 21 July 2025.Your duties will include but are not limited to:Extensive pedagogical knowledge base and understanding of how the identified subject areas are learned, what affects students opportunities to learn the subject matter and how the learning and teaching of the subject matter can be enhancedUnderstanding of how to differentiate learning to cater for students needs in order to maximise student learningSound understanding of the learning environments, lesson plans, use of technology, teaching practices and delivery of assessment and learning feedbackCommitted to the continual improvement of their teaching practice and take opportunities for personal professional developmentWork creatively and constructively within a range of ''communities'' inside and beyond the school and set high, achievable goals for themselves and their studentsAble to motivate students to achieve and to develop a life-long love of learningPerforming tasks as directed by the Principal or delegate.About you:To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the core purpose and values of St John Paul II Catholic College along with:Tertiary Qualification in EducationStatements of ServiceWorking with Children Check clearanceNESA AccreditationEffective interpersonal skills and collaborative teamwork.How to ApplyPlease include the following essential elements in your application:Cover Letter: Addressed to the Principal (Rob Muscat), introducing yourself and outlining how you meet the position criteria.Resume: Detailing your education and experience.Referees: Contact details for at least three referees, including your last two principals.Interested?This position involves working with children.
