About the roleThe Ranger in Charge manages the resources and day-to-day operations of the Great Western Tiers Field Centre which includes areas of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area (TWWHA).In this role, the Ranger in Charge will:Be responsible for a team of dedicated and highly competent individuals.Support and develop the skills and potential of the team members.Contribute to development and implementation of the regional business plan and achievement of strategic goals.Manage the field centre resources, including budget and expenditure.Engage with local community, stakeholders and visitors.About usThe Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania (NRE Tas) is committed to our vision of delivering a sustainable Tasmania where our natural resources, cultural values and environment are recognised and used sustainably to support our future prosperity.
