Owned by industry, FIT is committed to providing high-quality, timely training that develops a well-trained, highly skilled workforce.The RoleAs a Sprinkler Fitter Trainer & Assessor at our Glenwood facility, you will:Deliver face-to-face training and assessment for Certificate III in Fire Protection (CPC32820) and post-trade programs.Create a safe, supportive learning environment that aligns with current industry standards and contemporary practices.Demonstrate, coach, and mentor sprinkler fitter apprentices throughout their 34 year apprenticeships.Plan and facilitate engaging, interactive sessions to ensure students actively participate and progress.Conduct theoretical and practical assessments, providing constructive feedback in a timely manner.Assist with day-to-day activities that support the smooth running of the facility.Maintain and upgrade industry qualifications to meet all RTO and licensing requirements, including VET currency checks.Contribute to a collaborative, innovative training team by sharing your fire protection expertise.What Were Looking ForMinimum of five (5) years hands-on experience in the fire protection industry.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Basic computer literacy, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.A genuine passion for the Fire Protection Industry and a desire to inspire the next generation of Sprinkler Fitters.A team-player attitude, ready to collaborate with fellow trainers and support staff.Current Working with Children Checkor willingness to obtain one.What You Can ExpectFully supported completion of Certificate IV TAE (TAE40122), plus a structured mentorship program to develop your Trainer & Assessor capabilities.Ongoing professional development and the opportunity to work within an industry-leading training team.Flexible working arrangements that help you balance work and life.Five weeks annual leave.Income protection insurance.A supportive team environment to help you grow your career as a Trainer & Assessor.Access to modern, well-equipped facilities delivering hands-on learning experiences.If youre ready to bring your fire industry expertise to FIT and help shape the future of Sprinkler Fitter apprentices, wed love to hear from you.
