Whilst predominately based at our Warwick Farm Racecourse, the Groundsperson, Grade 1 may be rostered to perform work on occasion at any of the four (4) Club sites Royal Randwick, Rosehill Gardens, Canterbury Park, Warwick Farm Racecourses.DAY TO DAY, THE ROLE WILL:Undertake general maintenance work including labouring, cleaning, tracks, gardens and maintenance instructions,Operate plant equipment such as tractors, mowers, front end loader forklift, power, sweepers, power harrows, brush cutters, hedgers, push mowers and general spray operations,Conduct routine maintenance of turf, synthetic, artificial and other surfaces,Working hours: 8:15am 4:45pm.THE RIGHT FITTo be successful in the role, the right fit will have the following experience and capability:Demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably in turf management;General operational and mechanical maintenance skills;Appropriate licences to operate specialist machinery such as a manual vehicle, front end loader and forklifts (as applicable);Experience in operating plant and equipment including Bobcat, Grader and Excavator would be desirable;Sound knowledge and practical experience of handling and spraying chemicals;A demonstrable ability to work independently and as part of a team;Sound verbal and interpersonal communication skills;Sound literacy and numeracy skills.If you believe you are the right fit and can demonstrate our values day to day, we encourage you to apply.To apply, visit: close on Friday 18 July 2025.We look forward to reviewing your application.Australian Turf Club is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating and maintaining a workplace where our team members feel safe, valued and respected, regardless of gender identity, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation or life stage.
