Reporting to Manufacturing Manager you will be inspecting the bricks as they pass by, throwing out any reject quality product and removing any second-class product and placing in the seconds carousel. Operating multiple machines, fault finding and performing quality control checks will be part of your routine too.Report any unsafe conditions, machinery issues, or near misses to management.Always wear proper PPE and ensure it''s in good condition.Check machine guards and mobile equipment before use.Follow lock out/tag out and confined space procedures.Keep your area clean and dispose of waste properly.Inspect bricks for defects and sort accordingly.Report colour variations to the leading hand.Cover breaks for other operators when needed.Assist with cleaning during breakdowns when directed.Do any other tasks assigned within your skill level.You will be working the day shift, Monday to Friday 6:00am - 2:30 pm (with casual OT on some Saturdays) + willingness to work additional overtime hours as the business requires.What You Bring To The RoleA great work ethic and strong commitment to safe work practices & high regard for safetyExperience in a production or in a similar role is desirableA strong commitment to safety awarenessWillingness to learn and absorb new information and skillsAbility to work unsupervised and as part of a teamA current forklift license will be advantageousWhat We OfferWe strive to support your professional and personal growth.
