As a Food Services Assistant your focus will be to deliver catering needs that meet nutritional and hydration needs, special requirements and preferences of our residents.Working as part of a friendly and close-knit team, your focus will be:Perform basic food preparation tasks and cooking basic meals.Prepare, present and serve / deliver food and refreshments, ensuring awareness of special needs for modified dietsPlate and present food in an appealing manner and to a high-quality visual standard according to individual requirementsPart times shifts as listed belowWEEK 1 Thursday & Friday 9.00am to 3.30pmWeek 2 Thursday & Friday 9.00am to 3.30pmRequirementsFood Safety Certificate Level I (HLTFSE001) or progression towards the completion of a Food Safety CertificatePrevious experience working in a food services environment and/or at an aged care facilityPatience; common sense and a strong ethos of client serviceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work within a team and to work with minimum supervisionThe successful incumbent will need to be available to work day shifts as listed above.About usHere at VMCH our services are as diverse as the people we support.
