As a HD Fitter you will be responsible for the following:Maintenance, service, and repair of plant, equipment, and vehicles.Maintenance, service, and repair record keeping of all plant, equipment, and vehicles.Fault finding of a variety of diesel-powered and petrol-powered equipment and light vehicles.Whats on offer:2:1 rosterCompetitive EBA hourly rates + penaltiesPermanent contractSite vehicleJob diversity and career progressionTo be successful in this role, you will have:Relevant qualifications as a HD Fitter or similar tradeAt least five years experience as a HD Fitter in the construction/ mining industryExtensive mechanical repair experience with heavy machinery and mobile plant including Excavators, Dozers, Graders, Water Carts, and Loaders (Komatsu, CAT and Hitachi)Field service and repair experienceAbility to work and seek opportunities without continuous direction from supervisorEffective time management and attention to detailCurrent Australia Drivers License (HR Class)Troubleshooting, diagnostic and preventative maintenance skillsMust have a positive attitude with a strong safety focusAll potential candidates will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical and obtain a national police check.Whittens are committed to investing in our people, offering learning and development opportunities to build on the skills and experience you bring.
