Job Description

The Molding Technician position is very hands-on" and will require making necessary changes and adjustments to the technical blow molding and auxiliary equipment in a safe and controlled manner.We pride ourselves on quality products being made to controlled specification and continuing to optimize the performance of machine and or process.Your key responsibilities will be to:Ensure correct changeover and set up of product tooling during the shiftEnsure correct changeovers of moulded product during the shift (i.e., colour changes, material changes) as per the production planMake machine adjustments as per the setup sheet and training to maintain a quality productSet-up of ancillary equipment (i.e., blenders, leak detectors, robotic systems, IML systems, vision systems)Assist the Shift Supervisor and Operators with successful completion of each production runPerform process troubleshooting, part inspections, and other functions to ensure part conformity and qualityVerify paperwork for jobs and completion of inspections at startup and during productionMaintain machine and auxiliary equipment processing parameters to ensure quality, weight, and cycle time compliancePrioritize work and machines according to the production plan to ensure timely delivery without defectsPerform mechanical maintenance of machines and auxiliary equipment to keep them in satisfactory conditionWork overtime and weekends as requiredPacking product during breaks and slow periodsOperate forklift as neededYour skills and experienceTo succeed in this role, you should have:5+ years experience in process, die setup, or die maintenance in a manufacturing environment; plastics experience is importantMechanical and technical aptitude with troubleshooting skills for hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical equipmentExperience troubleshooting extrusion blow molding machinesKnowledge of plastic materials and processes, mold design, and auxiliary equipment involved in blow moldingAbility to assess bottle quality and operational efficiencyReliability and quality-focused attitudeHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plusCert III in Process Polymer Moulding or equivalentAdditional InformationAbout usOur vision is to lead the circular economy through packaging, reuse, and recycling solutions.
