Senior People Business Partner We are seeking an experienced Senior People Business Partner to join our Operations, Passenger and Delivery (OPD) team. This is a key leadership role within the people division, responsible for managing a team of People Business Partners and Advisors to deliver exceptional people outcomes that align with Metros strategic priorities. About the Role: As the Senior People Business Partner, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing our People Strategy, driving continuous improvement, and building leadership capability across your portfolio. This role provides an exciting opportunity to lead change, influence strategic people initiatives, and make a meaningful impact across the employee lifecycle. What Youll Do: Lead, coach and mentor a high-performing team of People Business Partners and People Advisors to deliver people-focused solutions. Align people initiatives with Metros strategic plan and organisational goals, fostering performance, wellbeing, and capability. Contribute to and execute the broader People Strategy, ensuring value across all stages of the employee experience. Provide expert advice and solutions across a range of people matters including change management, employee relations, diversity and inclusion, and leadership development. Set clear goals and performance expectations for the team, ensuring delivery against key productivity measures. Identify development opportunities and support learning, succession planning, and capability-building initiatives. Ensure compliance with Metros people policies and Fair Work obligations through regular training and guidance. Oversee effective and timely resolution of portfolio-specific employee lifecycle matters. Build and maintain strong relationships across the division and with key internal stakeholders. Collaborate with People Division Centres of Expertise to deliver integrated people solutions. Coach and support senior leaders and their teams on complex industrial and employee relations matters. Youll be a great fit if you are someone who: You are a confident and influential leader with deep HR generalist experience and a passion for leading high-performing teams. You thrive in complex environments, bring a strategic lens to problem-solving, and are comfortable navigating a broad range of people-related matters with professionalism and empathy. You will bring: Tertiary qualification in HR or other relevant discipline Extensive experience in generalist HR roles within a complex, multidisciplinary environment within a large EA driven business. Strong working knowledge of Fair Work legislation and contemporary HR practices. Demonstrated experience coaching and developing HR professionals. Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills. Experience working in unionised environments.
