We have a rare opportunity to join our Home Claims team at RAC Insurance as a Home Assessor on a Full Time, Permanent basis. Reporting to the Team Leader Home Assessing, you will be responsible for assessing home and contents claims on site, while ensuring services and repairs by service providers are cost effective and efficiently utilised. These opportunities dont come along often at RAC, you will be joining a well-established team of professionals in a supportive and flexible working environment. What will you be doing? Assess and process a caseload of allocated home and contents claims in an accurate and timely manner. Liaise with members, repairers, suppliers, claims staff and third parties to achieve a seamless claim settlement process. Review assessment reports received from external loss adjusters, repairers, manufacturers or engineers. Adjust claim settlements to achieve fair and equitable outcomes and setting of accurate reserves. Inspection and audit of claim repairs completed by approved service provider network. Identify risk management information to underwriters, potential fraud matters and recovery opportunities. Conduct desktop claim reviews through to settlement Ensure accurate and complete updates and diaries are kept on our claims management system. What are we looking for in you? Demonstrated experience working as a Home Assessor within the Insurance industry is highly desirable. Loss Adjusting qualifications (Cert IV or Diploma) is highly desirable Extensive knowledge of residential building codes and property repair industry Strong customer service, negotiation and communication skills Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills Flexibility and enthusiasm in a professional work environment. Must have a current and unrestricted drivers license. Relevant trade qualifications in building and construction or relevant trade background is desirable. What can we offer you?
