Join Australia''s largest business restructuring practice Help transition businesses from underperforming to a stable platform for growth Flexible work options - work smarter in a way that suits your lifestyle Our Deals Business Restructuring Services (BRS) team are experts at transitioning businesses from underperforming or troubled situations to a stable platform for growth. Our work usually begins with a commercial and/or financial review to develop a plan, then work to transition and stabilise businesses via a combination of a turnaround, cash management, or an operational or balance sheet restructure. We are experts at managing difficult stakeholders and complex situations with projects simultaneously focusing on cash, profitability and balance sheet outcomes. If required, we restructure companies via a formal insolvency process. In these situations, we have experience in some of Australias most complex insolvencies, always striving to sell the business as a going-concern to preserve value. A Manager/Senior Manager is a unique opportunity to be an integral part of the Deals BRS team. You will be a key point of contact for clients and other stakeholders in client engagements and will take on leadership responsibilities to drive your own, and team, performance. In this role, you will be exposed to a wide range of business and commercial issues across all industry sectors, and you will continue to develop your skills in turnaround activities and crisis management. This role is based in Sydney. Responsibilities Preparing and/or reviewing financial analysis including (where appropriate) use of data cleaning and visualisation tools to underpin your findings Drafting reports (and presentations) conveying the key messages derived from financial analysis and other relevant information Day to day management of businesses under external administration and/or asset recovery processes, including identifying and mitigating risks associated with restructuring and insolvency engagements Dealing with a wide range of stakeholders in distressed situations, from boards, to financiers, to employees, to government agencies, and more Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices Contributing to our collaborative team culture through delegation, mentoring and coaching of staff to deliver positive outcomes for our clients, both on projects and more broadly Building a network of industry contacts, participate in relevant industry events and contribute to opportunity development initiatives Requirements Team player with a positive can do attitude to challenges who is able to work under pressure across multiple engagements You possess advanced financial modelling skills and you are practical in applying financial analysis to real world situations You are passionate about obtaining the best result for our clients in times of change and uncertainty and have an understanding of working with financially distressed businesses You appreciate that, within BRS, every project will bring new and different challenges, and you have demonstrated versatility in working in such situations including with different PwC teams. Your strong time management, delegation, and team communication skills will hold you in good stead for this dynamic environment For Managers, you are CA qualified or working towards this For Senior Managers, you will have post-graduate qualifications such as CA, and potentially additional qualifications such as Finsia or advanced insolvency accreditation You have strong Microsoft Office skills coupled with excellent analytical and communication skills. At a minimum you have an understanding of and enthusiasm towards using data, analytics and visualisation tools, eg PowerBI and Alteryx It is expected that you have around 5 or more years of professional experience, with your experience having given you exposure to formal insolvency and/or turnaround situations About PwC At PwC, we are a human-led, tech-powered community of solvers.
