Lead $10M - $100M Urban projects with a major civil contractor Company operating in both Urban and Infrastructure sectors Down to earth Culture. No red tape, just real people & real support About the role This is an opportunity for a Project Manager to join a well-established national civil contractor and lead subdivision and urban infrastructure projects across South East Queensland. This business has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality land development, infrastructure, and roadworks projects. Combining Tier 1 capability with a family-run culture, theyre experiencing sustained growth and are looking for a leader to deliver mid- to large-scale Urban development projects valued $10M$100M. Responsibilities Manage projects up to $100M in value including developing and reviewing the construction plan and monitor progress Manage all aspects of project delivery from site and team setup to handover Identify and cost abnormal risks in tender documents. Authorise construction planning, programming and on-site completion schedules Regularly review and monitor project costs Identify, assess, control and close out identified project risks and opportunities and report these to senior management. Supervise and schedule the activities of Engineers, Supervisors and Administrators to ensure coordination of the construction process. The successful applicant will have the following experience Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or its equivalent 10 years post-graduate experience within a Principal Contractor environment Intermediate to advanced computer literacy (e.g. Microsoft Suite) Demonstrated ability to drive the program to meet project objectives Experience in leading and motivating teams safely during project completion Ability to develop and implement a budget and forecasts Ability to mentor teams including implementation of succession planning as required Experience in self-performed construction operations Why go through Smith & Co?
