About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Possession Planning Advisor to oversee and coordinate all aspects of possession planning on the SSTOM Project. This pivotal role ensures the safe, timely, and coordinated execution of construction and maintenance activities through detailed possession and access management planning. You will be responsible for managing possession interfaces across the rail corridor, leading meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders, and ensuring access planning aligns with safety requirements and project delivery milestones. Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end possession planning and coordination, ensuring compliance with operational and safety standards. Plan and manage all possession planning meetings, integrating construction, subcontractor, and operational input. Review and validate possession access request forms, escalating conflicts or concerns to senior management. Develop and maintain a future planning look-ahead calendar in alignment with project milestones and network access schedules. Coordinate pre-planning of track access, including tunnel and hi-rail access for various workgroups. Support and participate in incident and emergency response planning and escalate emergencies to the Director as required. Manage the Construction Control Room during possession periods and coordinate Protection Planning Officers (PPOs). Supply and manage Protection Officers (POs) to construction workgroups, including possible involvement in Construction and Rail Safety support. Collaborate closely with the Rail Safety and Delivery Teams to ensure safe and efficient site access planning. What Were Looking For: Proven experience in possession planning within the rail industry is mandatory. In-depth knowledge of rail operations, safety protocols, and access coordination processes. Protection Officer Level 4 qualifications mandatory Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to lead cross-functional meetings. Excellent time management and planning skills, with an ability to manage multiple access requests and evolving site priorities. Proficiency in planning tools and electronic access systems used in major infrastructure projects. Ability to remain calm under pressure and escalate appropriately during high-risk or emergency scenarios.
