About Greenway Views LDK Seniors Livings flagship village, Greenway Views, is in Greenway, Tuggeranong in Canberra, opposite the South Point shopping centre and walking distance to the Tuggeranong town centre. The village consists of 327 apartments, spread over five buildings that is about half a kilometre long from end-to-end. Greenway Views is home to nearly 400 residents over the age of 65. The village has over 6,000 square metres of communal space facilitating social connectedness and a vibrant village community. LDK delivers lifestyle-for-life through a variety of age-friendly facilities, amenities and activities for both independent and non-independent residents. On-site facilities include a gym, art centre, chapel, dance room, theatre, library, several hospitality outlets, village shed, barber shop, hairdresser, medical consultation room, grocer, purpose designed meeting spaces and a dog park. About the Role Reporting to the Sous Chef and Head Chef, we are looking for skilled and experienced Chefs to provide a range of comprehensive and sound kitchen duties, always ensuring a high level of hygiene standards. Role Responsibilities: Prepare food items that dont require cooking, for example preparation of sandwiches and salads Assist Sous Chef and Head Chef in cooking a range of meals, under their general supervision including the assembly and preparation of ingredients/food for cooking Portion, present and serve food to customers, demonstrating a high standard of customer service Undertake all duties in accordance with food safety and hygiene legislation, regulations and standards, including those specifically relating to the service of food to vulnerable persons and other relevant LDK quality and service standards Previous experience in running a section within a commercial kitchen Previous experience completing preparation and order lists Undertake general cleaning duties within a kitchen, food preparation area, cold and storerooms, including the cleaning of cooking and general utensils used in the kitchen Labelling, and stocking meals in fridges in accordance with orders When required, undertake general cleaning duties within a kitchen including dishwashing of crockery, cutlery and glassware, food preparation area, cold and storerooms, including the cleaning of cooking equipment and general utensils used in the kitchen Use and maintain all kitchen equipment in an appropriate manner General pantry duties including handling, storing and distributing a variety of goods Pick, label and dispatch goods in accordance with orders made Assist in the maintenance of stock levels Our Employee Value Proposition LDK villages have established a reputation of being truly happy places for residents.
